Lilo: Day One

Lilo: Day One
Exploring, sniffing Dad, checking the view.

Today I arrived in the Netherlands. I came out of my carrier, looked around, and did what any sensible cat does in a new country: I hid under the bed.

A brown and white tabby cat looks out from inside a dark wire carrier.
Arrival. Still in the carrier. Judging.

Under the sofa. This is my apartment now, I am just doing it from down here.

Meanwhile, on the other side of a closed door, a large beige (essentially orange) cat was interested in me. I could smell him. He could smell me. Dad kept us apart for a while, which, if you ask me, should have been the way it stayed permanently.

A cream and ginger tabby stands on his hind legs against a door.
The "orange" one, standing at the door, trying to figure out what kind of a diva Dad brought home.

Later I came out and started my inspection. Window: good. Desk: very good. Dad's hand: smells fine. Cupboard: mine. Microwave: also mine.
